Cloncurry Shire Council is looking for a Part time-Tourism Officer to join our team at Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre & Museum. What You’ll Do: Provide friendly and professional customer service at Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre. Assist visitors with tourist information, accommodation referrals, and local attractions Support the museum operations, including exhibitions and guided tours Maintain and manage souvenir and merchandise sales, including cash handling. Keep accurate visitor records, brochures, and stock levels up to date. Work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional evenings as required What We’re Looking For: A positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine interest in tourism and the local history of Cloncurry. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and time management skills Qualifications Needed: Mandatory: Current Open Manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence Ability to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check). Police Check/Clearance or willingness to obtain one. A qualification in tourism or a related field. Experience in visitor services, tourism, events, or retail.
