About the opportunity The Town Planner collaborates with clients, internal departments, and external stakeholders. The role reports to the Compliance Manager and is part of the Project Delivery team. The key focus of this role is to work with local government, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure positive development outcomes for our clients, developers and our communities. More specifically, you will: Be responsible for undertaking feasibility assessments on our client’s projects early in the build journey to deliver efficient development outcomes Carry out research and thorough evaluation to assess the sales opportunities, providing feedback to the Sales, Drafting/Estimating/Consultants on findings and recommendations Where necessary work with local government officials, certifiers, and external suppliers to achieve development approvals Prepare reports on planning matters to support Development Applications Refine and enhance planning process and outcomes by researching and staying up to date with evolving trends, best practices and legislative changes in urban planning Provide advice and guidance to support internal stakeholders on land use, development issues and planning matters About you You will share a passion for our purpose and be aligned to our core values; better together, be accountable, people matter and think bigger. In addition, you will: Tertiary education in Town Planning or extensive experience working in a similar role Experience utilising the PlanSA portal Knowledge of planning codes, local and state regulations related to land use and development Demonstrate an innovative approach to solving problems using your analytical skills Strong communication, dispute resolution and negotiation skills to deliver an outstanding customer service The ability to work independently and as part of a team Approach all processes with a continuous improvement mindset Comfortable travelling both metro and outer metro sites to conduct site visits - Driver’s license required Interested?
