This is a generalist position with a wide range of tasks including but not limited to; working in the trade yard, pick pack orders, truck loading & unloading, stock replenishment and general cleaning.The successful candidate will be offered a full time position working a Monday to Friday roster. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, must be motivated, and be relied upon to work in a team and an unsupervised environment.What You Will Be Doing Physical work with some heavy lifting required Loading & unloading of trucks Stock control ensuring all deliveries are accurate and checked as per company policy Ensuring the health and safety of all fellow staff, customers and contractors within their department Provide accurate deliveries on time, with a high focus on customer service Serving customers in the trade yard- helping them with their orders, and providing them with fast, efficient service Picking orders to be sent out on delivery trucks Putting away stock, mainly timber and associated products Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, both within a team and individually A focus on exceptional customer service and safety What You Will Bring Current Forklift licence definitely an advantage Demonstrate a strong customer focus. Timber & hardware product knowledge advantageous Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised Work in a fast paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Prioritise workload to effectively meet deadlines Must be physically fit and able to be on your feet all day Sense of urgency An eye for detail and a sense of urgency Ability to be available for work across the 5 days of the week which may include the occasional Saturday morning About Us For over 50 years Mitre 10 has been the local and independent hardware store to thousands of Australians.
