About the Role: Orchard HRO are representing a well-known and much-loved Australian retail franchise business, who are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Training Manager to lead their franchise network’s training function. You will be conducting a full review of business operations and current training before designing and delivering a comprehensive training strategy that equips franchisees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed.Reporting into the HR Director, you will be responsible for evaluating franchisee training needs, developing structured learning pathways, and implementing training solutions across multiple modalities—including online, in-person, and blended learning approaches. You will build a blended curriculum that will ensure that franchisees and key operational roles receive the support they need to drive business growth and maintain brand standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct a comprehensive training needs analysis to assess franchisee learning requirements and opportunities for innovation and modernisation. Develop and implement a strategy for best-in-class franchisee training, supporting new franchisees and ongoing professional development for existing franchise partners. Create structured learning programs incorporating principles of adult learning theory, for franchise owners to develop their business and people leaderships skills. Support and develop the Field Training team to ensure effective delivery of functional job-skills training programs. Develop and execute training programs across multiple delivery channels, including eLearning content development (using Articulate), and in-person workshops. Train and advise the Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to support with day-to-day online content creation. Part of the project team for the LMS tender and transition, ensuring a seamless migration and implementation of a best-in-class learning platform. Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including Franchise Owners, Operations, Marketing, and Franchise Development—to ensure training aligns with business objectives and franchisee success. About you: Proven experience in training and development, preferably within a complex multi-site environment, and focus on business operations. Familiarity with the operational and business challenges of franchise and retail operations is highly desirable. Ability to review current business operations and existing training programs to develop a strategy for the modernisation and enhancement of comprehensive training programs that support a diverse franchise network employing 8,000 people. Strong expertise in learning program design, curriculum development, eLearning content development, and instructional delivery. Experience in developing tailored learning strategies for a holistic program from functional job skills training to business leadership skills. Expertise in Learning Management Systems (LMS) systems and ideally experience in LMS implementation or transition projects. Ability to create engaging, practical, and scalable training solutions that cater to diverse learning styles. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire adult learners. Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully executing training initiatives.
