Transport Project Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and driven Project Manager with experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, or Oversized transport. If you have a passion for project management and a proactive mindset, this role offers the chance to take ownership and make a real impact.Your day to day role will see you gaining and managing both end to end general and project forwarding operations whilst maintaining and developing relationships with our valued clients, service providers and other key internal and external stakeholders.As an experienced Project manager, you will know this is a hands-on role and can be busy, and you will relish both the challenge and opportunity to go the extra mile for our customers and your colleagues.Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver customised transport solutions that exceed customer expectations Implement strategic initiatives to optimise profitability and operational efficiency Stay updated on industry trends to keep GKR at the forefront of best practices Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and vendors, to control costs and mitigate operational risks Oversee the implementation and maintenance of transport systems, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and internal policies Manage and take ownership of P&L responsibilities Experience in Hotshots, oil & gas operations, project logistics, or mining logistics is highly regarded What we are looking for: Extensive experience in general freight operations and project management Proven experience in Oil and Gas, Mining or Oversized transportation Highly organised and process-driven, with strong time management skills and a focus on meeting deadlines Demonstrated ability to deliver projects within scope, on time, and within budget Passion for customer service and a drive to develop innovative interstate transport solutions Strong experience in managing and growing client relationships Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and via email Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other relevant business software What we offer: Stable, full time role with job security Attractive salary and car allowance Laptop and Mobile Phone provided Secure, free onsite parking Work alongside a passionate and driven team in a supportive environment Why Join GKR Transport?
