About the role: We are seeking an experienced Travel Manager to join our Ballpark Travel team to manage the successful delivery of our internal servicing agency based in either Melbourne or Brisbane. Unlike traditional travel agencies, your primary focus will not be on sales and commission targets. Instead, you will have a well-planned work program that supports and is supported by your colleagues. This role is for a 12-month maternity position, but with our fast-paced growing business, there may be further opportunities beyond this position. The role will provide a range of opportunities with no two days being the same, from managing day-to-day corporate needs to researching amazing locations and creating incredible travel programs for our incentive team. The ideal candidate will: Have a minimum of 2 years of travel agency experience with both domestic and international travel. Experience with Sabre or willingness to train on Sabre for immediate proficiency. Experience with PowerSuite or willingness to commence training immediately. Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, time management, initiative, and problem-solving skills. Exhibit excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude while working in a team. Be proficient in MS Office. Additional skills that would benefit the position: Previous group and event flight travel management experience. Knowledge of group event management technology systems. Experience in developing and researching incentive trip concepts. Understanding of accounting and financial systems. Prior experience dealing with travel vendors.
