About Our Client Our client is a community / for-purpose organisation and one of the largest employers across NSW. They’re on the lookout for a Finance & Treasury Accountant to help them manage their finances and investment portfolio with fund values exceeding half a billion dollars! You’ll do your part by providing key assistance around all things financial accounting, reporting, treasury operations, compliance & risk management and process improvement. Software/Tech Suite Our client uses a wide range of software including but not limited to Ultracs, Technology One, Treasury Direct, Xero, Microsoft Office Suite.About you You will be an accounting professional with 2+ years’ experience in:Chartered Accounting and / or Audit Exposure to fund management, banking & credit Excellent stakeholder management skills Experience with treasury functions - particularly around compliance, understanding risk management concepts - risk appetite, etc. Reconciliation of ledgers, accounts Continuous improvement practices around systems, processes Financial analysis (including internal audit, forecasting, preparing reports) You’ll also be keen to build a career and have a commitment to ongoing training and development. The organisation has a structured plan and career pathway for you – the result leading you to being an AFSL Responsible Manager – an accreditation that can open many career pathways – though they hope you’ll stay put! Qualifications & Skills Essential Degree qualification in finance, accounting, or related field. Willingness to pursue professional accreditation (e.g. CPA, CA). Current NSW Driver’s License. Experience & Skills Experience with financial accounting systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and cash management. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation. Ability to work effectively in a team with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in financial transactions and reporting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Teams). Desirable Experience in treasury or financial management within a not-for-profit or community organisation Familiarity with operating in an AML/CTF compliance environment Experience in financial modelling in a complex business structure Experience with financial systems like Ultracs, TechOne, or Xero If you are a detail-oriented individual with a passion for financial management within a community focused / for-purpose environment, we encourage you to apply!
