VMware VDI ENGINEER 6-month contract Leading consulting organisation Sydney/Melbourne/Perth – 2/3 office days/week THE ROLE My client is a large scale consultancy looking for VMware VDI Engineers to join their team within the next 4 weeks! As a VMware VDI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our large VMware-based virtual desktop environment. You will be a part of the Security & Privacy org and within the Cyber Defense & Engineering team. You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, design tailored VDI solutions and provide expert-level support to ensure optimal system performance and security. Additionally, the individual must be well versed in Network Storage, VMware on AWS and Azure AD.RESPONSIBILITIES VDI Design and Implementation Infrastructure Optimization Security and Compliance Documentation and Training Technical Expertise Client Interaction YOU WILL HAVE 5+ years of experience working with VMWare virtual desktops Strong knowledge of VMware Horizon View, vSphere, VMware Cloud on AWS and related technologies. Advanced Experience in Windows Desktop Operating Systems, specifically Windows 10 Knowledge of AWS, specifically EC2, VPC, ELB, R53, RDS, IAM, and other infrastructure services. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions. Knowledge of storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS) and networking concepts. This is a great opportunity to join a leading client and a large enterprise scale team.
