A thrilling opportunity has opened up for a Vessel Operations Coordinator to become part of our team based in Bibra Lake, coordinating vessel services throughout Western Australia. A Day in the Life of a Vessel Ops Coordinator: No two days are ever the same and you will be challenged regularly. You will plan, deliver, and/or supervise logistics services for ship crews or cargo and take responsibility for the safety of the personnel and vessel. You will find yourself on occasion boarding vessels and effectively directing an operation without compromising on safety. You will be liaising with Government Authorities, working closely with vendors, representing our customer's interests, assisting crew, and dealing with industry bodies. Shipping is a 24/7 business, out of hours and weekend work will be required, and compensated by RDO’s. Work from home shift on rotation is available (after completion of training). In this role it is crucial to be driven and proactive. What you will be doing (Main Responsibilities): Coordinate flights, transport, accommodation and offshore transfers for maritime personnel. Coordinate logistics for international freight and packages to and from vessels. Owners Protective Agency. Quote on services rendered and consolidate all expenses on completion of jobs for invoicing by lodging jobs in our platform WASP. Ensure compliance with Ships Agency IOP’s and SOP’s. Ensure proactive, efficient and timely communication at all times. Report leads, business opportunities and relevant port updates observed to the Manager. Ensure cost effectiveness for operations. Who You Are: You are a self-motivated, results-driven individual with a passion for achieving excellence. While prior experience or exposure to the Shipping Industry is advantageous, we welcome candidates with experience in crew coordination and mobilisation type roles. Attention to detail, administrative proficiency, and a good grasp of computer skills are essential. You must possess a valid Australian work permit, driver's license, and driving experience, along with eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
