Veterinary Nurse - Greencross Aitkenvale Full-time We have a rare opportunity available for a Vet Nurse to join our team at Greencross Vets Aitkenvale! Our four Greencross clinics in Townsville's north are looking for an experienced nurse to join their team. The role will offer variety and support as you will have the chance to work across the four clinics in the region. Greencross Aitkenvale has a loyal, longstanding client base that is like family to us. This is a supportive, knowledgeable, and caring team - we can offer you lots of support in a big friendly team who all enjoy a good laugh! Greencross Vets Aitkenvale is situated approximately ten minutes from the Townsville CBD and is easily accessible from all areas of Townsville. Our team is available between 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Saturday. Working here, you will join our team of two experienced veterinarians and long-standing support staff. Our practice manager has been here for 14 years and most of our nurses for 10-13 years. Aitkenvale has the finest hospital facilities, which include Digital Radiography, Ultrasonography, and in-house pathology. Our Mission is to provide outstanding care for our patients and clients, whether that is for a simple nail clip, best behaviour classes, or complicated medical cases. What are we looking for? Ideally certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent Good knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures Exceptional communication and customer service skills Experience with Rx works (preferred but not essential) Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is committed and eager to develop their knowledge and skills in a supportive and friendly environment. What you’ll be doing each day: Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology, and emergency and critical care Performing minor procedures when required Caring for, handling, and cleaning all animals Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment Reception duties including being the first point of contact for clients, handling client enquiries in person and over the phone, scheduling appointments, managing client accounts, admitting and discharging patients Certificate IV in vet nursing preferred plus experience in clinic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
