Benefits Hub that includes lifestyle discounts from hundreds of leading stores and services Now, a bit about the role: Reporting to the Team Leader, Visual Design , the Visual Design Specialist is responsible for creating marketing communications assets which:will achieve their defined objectives within the Programs of Work defined by various areas of the organisation; demonstrate creative best practices; drive engagement with target audiences across Queensland and nationally; are consistent with RSL Queensland’s brand guidelines; are produced on time, on budget and with appropriate collaboration and interlock with other teams. Service delivery will include the following (but will not be restricted to) duties: Maintain organisation visual guidelines and resources to ensure accurate brand management across all marketing and broader organisational programs and projects. Produce marketing and communications assets to the required brands standards of effectiveness, quality, and creativity. Work with the business to influence and form strategic direction to create concepts and produce marketing collateral in response to briefs and strategy documents ensuring alignment to marketing plans. Deliver high levels of attention to detail, working closely with all internal teams to ensure fit-for-purpose Visual Design outputs that fill the briefing requirements. Utilise creative best practices, and push the boundaries of creativity, experimentation and innovation, to make the organisations marketing and communications deliverables cut-through communication clutter and engage target audiences. What’s required to succeed: Tertiary qualification in Graphic or Visual Design, Marketing or a closely related field. 3+ years’ experience in a Graphic or Visual Design role or similar role. Experience in consistently implementing and ideating assets within a consistent visual brand identity. Experience in consistently delivering creative assets which meeting internal client needs while requiring minimal supervision. Tools for Success Strong digital designer with expert skill across the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Acrobat. Ability to manage workload and competing priorities. Ability to conceptualise within brand guidelines and pitch concepts. Knowledge of and ability to apply best practices for a range of creative outputs including: EDM, web, social media, out-of-home, event materials, large format and offset printing, merchandise and digital publishing. Design for print experience necessary. Art direction experience on-set ideal. Experience writing photography briefs favourable. Video and/or photography production/post-production experience favourable.
