Job Title: Vulnerability Management & Security Patching Specialist Location: Canberra Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Vulnerability Management & Security Patching Specialist to lead the identification, prioritization, and remediation of security vulnerabilities across on-premise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in implementing and managing patching solutions, ensuring security compliance, and supporting the migration of solutions to the Azure platform while adhering to ITIL and TOGAF frameworks. Key Responsibilities Identify and implement solutions for vulnerabilities, ensuring remediation through patching, configuration hardening, and other mitigation techniques. Manage and support patching capabilities across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring timely and secure deployment of software updates. Leverage vulnerability management tools such as MECM, Nessus, Satellite, and Ivanti to detect, assess, and resolve security risks. Ensure adherence to security compliance and governance processes, providing regular reporting and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities, minimizing risks to business-critical systems. Manage risk assessments related to security patching and ensure mitigation strategies are effectively implemented. Lead or support the migration of security solutions to the Azure platform, ensuring seamless integration and security best practices. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation in alignment with ITIL and TOGAF frameworks. Key Qualifications 5+ years of experience in vulnerability management, patch management, and security compliance in both on-premise and cloud environments. Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools such as MECM, Nessus, Satellite, and Ivanti. Proven experience in Azure platform migration and cloud security implementations. Strong knowledge of risk management practices in the context of security patching and configuration hardening. Familiarity with ITIL and TOGAF frameworks, including their application to security and risk management. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or ITIL.
