Job Opportunity Senex Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Water Management Specialist to join our asset management team. This newly created role will be part-time for a fixed term period of 12 months and is responsible for planning and realizing the potential value of Senex Energy's assets through effective water management strategies. Key Accountabilities Asset Planning: Leading the planning of water management activities, including life of field development plan concepts, medium-term (1-3 year) development plans, and short-term operational management plans. Influencing and leading change in water management across our sites and the broader business. Creating and maintaining key operational water models, including water production and offtake balance, storage balances, and contingency planning models. Assessing future scenarios using operational water models to manage water-related risks to gas production, supply to landholder partners, commercial outcomes, and regulatory compliance. Providing technical support to projects as a Water Management subject matter expert. Collaborating with access and approvals teams to ensure water management plans meet compliance requirements and supporting approvals processes for new assets or amendments. Managing external consultants for technical studies. Supporting the tracking of water performance metrics and delivery of key water and sustainability reporting. Collaborating with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to prepare inputs for asset valuation economic models and support water management decisions. Operational Support: Supporting water management operational specialists with analysis and technical support. Troubleshooting and solving operational issues and constraints as a subject matter expert. About You To be successful in the position, the following experience and skills will be required: Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (e.g., engineering, geology, geo-sciences, science, mathematics) would be highly regarded. 3+ years of experience in a similar role. Experience in water asset planning in mining or coal seam gas. Advanced knowledge of water modelling data analysis. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for water management in mining or coal seam gas industry. Strong skills in preparing technical documents, presentations, and proposals.
