Our Event Spaces play host to some 1300 Events per annum. This is your opportunity to join our vibrant Event team. THE ROLE Reporting to the Director of Sales & Events, this position is responsible for instigating and managing business development for Victoria Park with a focus on Wedding and Private event clientele, maximising revenue and developing new business, utilising professional account management and relationship optimisation strategies. As the Weddings & Events Sales Executive you will also have a focus on new business conversion through reactive enquiries, attending BD events and market research. Please note this role is Tuesday – Saturday. Key responsibilities include: Manage high-volume sales enquiries to maximise revenue. Provide detailed, accurate quotes within set timeframes. Achieving a high conversion rate of wedding and private enquiries into confirmed events. Meet sales targets for event styling services. Assign confirmed clients to dedicated event planners. Ensure our event planning team delivers top-notch service. Providing leadership and assistance to the event planners. Work with external suppliers to maintain quality and profitability. Coordinate events and business development initiatives to drive sales. Have a strong, positive work ethic with the ability to manage a high level of responsibility. Passionate about weddings and private events to assist clients to create their dream events. The ideal candidate will have: 3–5 years’ experience in a Business Development or sales role within the wedding and/or hospitality sectors, with a track record of exceeding revenue targets and KPIs. Proven ability to win new accounts and retain clients, with a proactive approach to pre-empting client needs. Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with a strong customer service focus. Skilled in problem-solving and analysis, with sound commercial acumen in business planning, budgeting, and financial analysis. Experience with Ungerboeck is an asset. Background in Event Management with solid knowledge of the wedding and private events industry, including supplier relationships. Have demonstrated time management and multi-tasking skills and thrive under high work volume pressure. Be available to work Tuesday-Saturday spread of hours.
