The Role : As the Workplace Health and Safety & Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring Cefn operates in accordance with all workplace health and safety standards, legal requirements, and industry regulations. You will work closely with our team to maintain a safe and compliant working environment while supporting the well-being of our employees. The position is full-time with a salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 / year + company car. Key Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with all safety regulations. Provide training and support to employees on safe work practices, handling of equipment, and emergency procedures. Assist in managing workplace injury claims by developing prevention strategies, facilitating return-to-work plans, monitoring rehabilitation, and maintaining accurate records. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws relating to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and audits. Work with management to develop and implement corrective actions to address any safety issues or non-compliance findings. Collaborate with external regulators and organisations to stay current on relevant laws and industry standards. Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing across the workforce. Develop, implement and audit quality assurance programs whilst ensuring accurate records of all associated documentation. Ensure compliance with employee’s national competency training records and requirements. What We’re Looking For : Proven experience in workplace health and safety or compliance, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. Strong understanding of risk management and hazard analysis. Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to educate and engage employees at all levels. A proactive, detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and compliance. Ability to work independently. Relevant tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded. Ability to be flexible and grow with the role as the position develops.
