Division: Independent Public School - Southwest Education Region Salary: Level 3, $74,586 - $80,014 per annum (pro-rata) (DOE (SSO) CA 2022) Work Type: Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time We are seeking to establish a pool of Workplace Coordinators for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The Role We are looking for positive, dedicated and well-organised Workplace Coordinators to join our friendly team. The aim of a Workplace Coordinator is to support the operations of the Workplace Learning Program (WLP) created to teach and support our students with special needs in acquiring life and work skills, and employment. Key responsibilities include: Identifying pathways for employment for students Assist in locating appropriate industry placements for students Deliver presentations and promote the WLP to students, parents and staff Induct Students into the WLP Conducting assessments of students in the workplace and manage employer assessments Deliver inductions and training sessions to industry trainers Suitable applicants will ideally have strong skills in establishing and maintaining positive working partnerships with employers, agencies, and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Additionally, suitable applicants will confidently liaise with the Principal and school teams to update student progress, attendance and engagement in the workplace. Experience with special-needs program development, implementation and evaluation would be highly regarded.
