Spinifex State College - Mount Isa Education and Training Precinct are seeking applications for a Youth Support Coordinator to join their school community on a permanent part-time basis, at 0.80 FTE and 58 hours per fortnight.Within This Role You Will Have The Opportunity To Refer at risk students to appropriate agencies and support services that will assist students to overcome barriers to education and training. Provide individual support, case management and, where appropriate, group support to students to maximise their engagement with education and training. About Spinifex State College Spinifex State College is a three campus educational facility. Our Junior Campus caters to years 7-9, Senior Campus years 10-12 and the Residential Campus houses all boarding students.Our school aims to develop clever, skilled and creative learners. This includes school-based apprenticeships/traineeships and work experience. Spinifex students are encouraged to work hard and achieve their best - our school is proud of our students and their achievements.About The Role Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Identify barriers to young people achieving outcomes and referral to appropriate support services. Maintain records of student contact on a daily basis. Support students to achieve satisfactory learning outcomes. Develop and monitor post program support as required to meet program performance criteria. Develop and foster relationships between the school and families of students to assist at risk students to remain engaged with education or training.
