The ANZ Injury Management Advisor is responsible for effectively managing work-related and non-work-related injury cases to ensure the well-being of employees and to minimize the impact of injuries on business operations. This role can be based in either Ballarat, or Melbourne Victoria. Accountabilities: Injury case management Return-to-Work coordination Compliance and legislative adherence Stakeholder communication and liaison Injury prevention and Continuous Improvement Reporting and analytics Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Rehabilitation, Human Resources, or a related field is typically required. Post graduate qualifications in Workplace Health, Injury Management, or Worker’s Compensation are highly regarded. Certification as a Certified Return to Work Coordinator or Injury Management Coordinator (depending on jurisdiction) is preferred. Relevant certifications such as Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) certifications are an advantage. Thorough knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Schemes in both Australia and New Zealand. Familiarity with WorkSafe (in Australia) and Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) (in New Zealand) frameworks, processes, and regulations. Training in mental health first aid, ergonomics, manual handling, rehabilitation and Return-to-Work coordination is highly regarded. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in injury management, worker’s compensation, or a related field. Proven experience of liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience managing injury cases. Experience in developing and delivering injury relative training programs. In-depth understanding of workers' compensation laws and injury management legislation across both Australia and New Zealand. Familiarity with national and local health and safety regulations, including relevant case law and compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and injury rehabilitation processes, including best practices for managing both physical and psychological injuries. Understanding of workplace ergonomics and preventive health strategies to reduce the risk of injury recurrence. Expertise in developing and implementing tailored return-to-work (RTW) programs, aligned with employee needs and business objectives. Knowledge of suitable duties and workplace modifications to support the reintegration of injured employees. Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High levels of empathy, patience and understanding when dealing with injured employees Strong analytical capabilities to assess injury trends, identify root causes, and develop strategic injury prevention programs Excellent organisational and time management skills The benefits of working for McCain.
