About the Role: The Asset Coordinator reports to the Technical Adviser, Asset and Facility Services and is responsible for overseeing and delivering a range of administrative functions, activities, and projects related to building and infrastructure in accordance with government and departmental policies and procedures. The role involves contributing to the development of new techniques, policies, and methodologies that support a coordinated asset management service. The Asset Coordinator coordinates and undertakes projects within broadly defined guidelines at both corporate and site levels in alignment with Asset Strategy and Performance objectives. Additionally, the role includes preparing briefings and providing advice and information to the Minister for Education, senior executives, managers, and relevant personnel on Asset Services Strategy and Performance issues. The Asset Coordinator also resolves complex matters related to asset management, financial management, and strategic directions for Department for Education sites through liaison, consultation, and negotiation with various stakeholders. Desirable Qualifications: Relevant appropriate tertiary qualification or extensive knowledge and experience in facilities and asset management/maintenance fields. Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
