Skills SA provides policy leadership for the South Australian VET sector, objectively assessing skill needs and managing public investment to maximise skills development. Skills SA plays an important role by:Matching the state’s current and anticipated employment demands with training Ensuring employers can access works with the skills required to run and grow their business Ensuring South Australians can get the quality training that will help them find a job and build a career As the Senior Information Services Project Officer, you will join the Analytics and Information Systems team, based in the Adelaide CBD, and be responsible for providing high-quality client support, data analysis, system administration services, and ensuring compliance with AVETMISS reporting standards. You will also liaise with clients to resolve data quality and system issues, support adherence to state and national reporting requirements, analyse data to improve quality and provide insights, and undertake information system management.Key Competencies To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:Knowledge of data collection and analysis, evaluation methodologies, and presentation techniques. Extensive experience with the Microsoft Office suite, a customer relationship management tool (e.g., Salesforce). Previous experience using Microsoft Excel or SQL to manipulate and represent data would be advantageous. Experience in project management, quality assurance practices, analysis of information, and the preparation of clear and concise reports and recommendations. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, liaise, influence, negotiate, and develop a network of strategic alliances. High-level attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgement in complex situations. The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and achieve high-level performance outcomes within tight timeframes, often amidst competing priorities. Special Conditions The role will be offered full-time (1.0 FTE), 12 month term contract, with possibility of extension.
