Guided by the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care, the Office is tasked with a significant responsibility: bringing together a holistic, connected system for early childhood development across South Australia, with the goal of reducing the rate of children entering school developmentally vulnerable. About The Role The Office for Early Childhood Development (OECD) is seeking a Senior Project Officer – Change Strategy to join our dynamic Change Strategy Team. In this critical role, you will contribute to shaping and implementing change management initiatives that will support the successful embedment of early childhood reforms across the state. As a Senior Project Officer – Change Strategy , you will coordinate and manage change projects that are pivotal in shaping the success of our early childhood reforms. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Change Strategy, you will take ownership of developing tools, resources, and communication materials to support effective change management of the reforms from across OECD. This role will see you working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine change management resources, including templates, reports, presentations, letters, web copy and written communications that engage key stakeholders. Your work will directly impact the success of reform implementation, creating lasting change in South Australia’s early childhood services. Key Responsibilities Include Change Management Resources: Develop resources, tools, and templates to support Local teams. Improve change management resources, data collation and reporting processes. Project Coordination: Manage projects aligned with change priorities, including developing project plans, risk registers, tracking progress and coordinating meetings and administration. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders within Local Teams and OECD to support project and report development on reform priorities. Create high-quality written materials for internal and external stakeholders, such as letters, emails, web copy, newsletters, and presentations to support reform implementation. Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to analyse data, create insightful reports, and inform future planning. Ensure data and information are tailored to meet the needs of the intended audience. Information Management: Develop and maintain effective information management systems and confidential files. Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of improvement, ensuring change management resources and data solutions meet evolving needs. About You To thrive in this role, you will bring the following key skills and experience: Experience in Change Management: Demonstrated expertise in implementing change strategies and coordinating development of related change artefacts. Project Management Skills: Ability to lead complex projects, develop plans, and track progress. Strong Communication Skills: Proficiency in writing clear, concise reports, communication materials, and project documents for diverse audiences. Data Analysis: Solid experience in analysing complex data to create actionable insights and reports. Independence & Teamwork: Ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision while collaborating effectively with stakeholders. Organisational & Administrative Skills: Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with the capacity to quickly learn new systems and tools. Early Years Sector Knowledge (Desirable): Familiarity with the early years landscape, including key government and non-government stakeholders and the role they play in influencing outcomes. Additional Note This is a full-time 2-year long-term contract role (1.0 FTE) with potential to be made ongoing. Remuneration ASO6 $98,478 -$104,165 (1.0 FTE) per annum, plus superannuation. Enquiries Enquiries can be directed to Special Conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every 5 years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
