Job Overview Jensen Hughes is seeking an Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our team based in Sydney, Australia. In this role, you will have responsibility primarily for the collection of company debt, along with providing overall support for the finance function. This includes, but is not limited to: Debt Collection and Accounts Receivable Invoicing Support Project Reconciliations Accounts Administration Updating of databases and meeting various reporting requirements We are looking for a professional individual with experience in Accounts Receivable who is confident calling clients for the purpose of collection of payments for unpaid invoices. Responsibilities Debt Collection; including reminders, overdue emails, phone calls, queries, and invoice changes Escalation of complicated debtor scenarios Assisting the finance team with early claims and preparation and distribution of monthly client invoicing Updating and sending subcontractor statements to clients during invoicing process and the archiving and maintenance of said documents Preparing and issuing monthly consultant invoicing reports Maintaining Accounts record keeping and archiving (Mailmanager) of all documents in a timely manner Assist with monitoring the debtors inboxes and responsibility for the ‘Remittance’ inbox and document archiving Liaise with clients in a professional and efficient manner Ensure processes relating to your role are up-to-date and stored per ISO/QMS policy Handling of general accounts administration enquiries as required Assisting Pacific Finance Manager with adhoc tasks as required Manage your workflow and work output within deadlines Requirements and Qualifications Experience in an Accounts Receivable role including a proven track record collecting unpaid debt Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Accounting / Business / Finance) is preferred but not essential Experience working within a professional services office environment Familiarity with the construction industry is desirable Computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft O365 Familiar with general accounting / finance concepts Experience of MYOB (or similar) Strong interpersonal skills with a dynamic, vibrant and collaborative style with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders Personal drive, results-oriented with a friendly, can-do attitude and a high level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility Strong time management and organisation skills Should be an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident or holding a valid Work Visa in Australia Why you should join Jensen Hughes You will work with market-leading clients and have the backing of a leading international firm You'll have support from the leadership team and given flexibility to work where and when you want Career advancement with an established framework is in place clearly defining expectations, outlining opportunities for promotion Jensen Hughes is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
