Where you'll be working: Join our Specialised Intellectual Disability Health Team, based in Wallsend, NSW. You’ll be working onsite in a small, dynamic team of five clinicians, playing a key role in providing person-centred healthcare for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our service is unique, requiring a highly flexible approach with no set processes, allowing for continuous adjustments based on individual client needs. About The Role: As the sole administrative officer, you will: Work independently to provide essential administrative support to the team. Manage phone enquiries, ensuring reasonable adjustments for people with intellectual disabilities. Take ownership of daily tasks, problem-solve proactively, and introduce innovative solutions. Engage directly with clinicians and clients in an open office environment. Adapt to a highly flexible, person-centred service, where no two days are the same. Work Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday are mandatory workdays (team anchor days). Remaining workdays are flexible, with Monday as a preferred option. About You: We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and adaptable individual who thrives in a flexible, unstructured work environment. You’ll be an integral part of the team, contributing to seamless service delivery through your strong communication and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and phone skills, including experience handling enquiries and making adjustments for people with intellectual disabilities. A proactive mindset – you’ll have the autonomy to design your own daily workflows. Adaptability – our person-centred approach requires constant adjustments to processes. Confidence in learning new systems (CHIME & Platypus) – prior experience is not essential. Someone who thrives in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. Candidates with Allied Health Assistant experience or lived experience with disability/working in disability services will be highly valued.
