An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Information Technology branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the permanent role of Advisor (Data and Analytics Capability). We are looking for a data and analytics capability advisor to join our team permanently. As an Advisor (Data and Analytics Capability), you will work with stakeholders across TMR to enable, lead and uplift capability in data and analytics by supporting TMR in achieving our vision to become an insight driven organisation. You will also lead the delivery of the department's Open Data initiative and support customers and stakeholders. Some Of Your Responsibilities Will Include: Provide advocacy, support and advice relating to best-practice data management methods and tools aligned to the department's Data and Analytics (D&A) Strategy and support alignment with the Queensland Government's overall direction and agenda. Lead the department's Open Data initiative, including working across the business to identify new open datasets, refresh, maintain existing datasets, respond to customer enquiries and conduct the annual Open Data Maturity Assessments. Collaborate with business areas to support the development of data and analytics solutions that are accurate, appropriate and efficient. Establish and maintain effective networks and relationships with team members, clients and stakeholders and consult or negotiate as necessary to identify opportunities for the improvement of modern data and analytics practices. Contribute, support and lead the delivery of activities, initiatives and projects that form part of the Data and Analytics Capability team's program of work. Requirements Of The Role: Demonstrated experience in managing Open Data Programs of Work. Demonstrated experience in data and analytics or digital capability programs, including knowledge and application of modern data and analytics practices, platforms and tools. Demonstrated experience in effectively collaborating and engaging with senior management and various business areas, providing support to embrace organisational change and driving change activities throughout the company. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a changing and complex operating environment.
