Apprentice Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst Application Deadline: 31 March 2025 Department: Infrastructure Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: G&T London Description The role of an Apprentice Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst is to provide commercial support to an infrastructure project. Your responsibility is to support the procurement lead or manager in sourcing the client the best value solution through the sustainable allocation of risk between a client organisation and its supply chain. This includes exploring market opportunities and implementing strategies that deliver the best possible procurement outcomes to the client’s organisation, stakeholders, and customers. Supplier Market Management (SMM) is integral to this role, supporting the entire project lifecycle from initial strategy development to engaging with Tier 1 contractors. This is critical for project delivery, ensuring market risks are analysed, captured, and communicated to all stakeholders to prevent risks from impacting project delivery against time, quality, and cost. As an Apprentice Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst, you will spend 3 years working towards your Fast Track Procurement Level 3 & 4 Apprenticeship, with potential progression to a Level 6 qualification. You will gain valuable work experience as part of the G&T apprenticeship programme, relating theoretical aspects of your studies to actual work experience. Working within a team, you will assist your line manager with various aspects of daily project work. This role requires a certain level of autonomy while knowing when to discuss and ask questions to ensure the best outcome. You will build a solid knowledge base of your role, the firm, and the industry. General Responsibilities Working with your Line Manager, the role will typically include the following: Assist the management of procurements through the procurement life-cycle stages from identifying the business need to contract award. Assist in managing large data sets to deliver outputs identifying critical data trends. Participate in stakeholder engagement across market and sector stakeholders within the supply chain to achieve client objectives. Develop skills to build custom reporting and risk management systems through Power BI for clients. Analyse quantitative and qualitative data for detailed report writing, supporting informed decision-making at senior management level. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and provide insights from a data perspective. Support the e-procurement solution for specific categories/projects ensuring transparency and compliance with procurement legislation. Participate in team meetings for procurement, enabling the implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives. Provide monthly reports to the Procurement Manager evidencing successful delivery of projects. Assist in developing Commercial Strategies, Procurement Strategies, and Package Procurement Plans. Assist in compiling Prequalification and Tendering documentation. Assist in managing Prequalification and Tender evaluation processes. Facilitate timely decisions regarding procurement strategy, shortlisting suppliers, and contract awards. Provide advice on applicable procurement legislation and policies to ensure compliance. Required Qualifications & Skills Required Qualifications & Skills: A Level BBB (or equivalent) /128 UCAS tariff points (or an equivalent level of attainment through recognised qualifications) Must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSE grade 4 or above) Good working knowledge of current IT systems Understanding of client care & relationships Trustworthy and reliable Ability to prioritise work efficiently Ability to work to deadlines Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative Proactive and flexible approach Dedication and commitment Desire to learn Genuine interest in construction and property #J-18808-Ljbffr
