A great opportunity for an Assistant Director Strategic Communications - Scheme Reform Communication to join this busy team. About the role: Leading and driving the delivery of strategic communications plans and supporting collateral across various communication channels. Helping our audiences understand the changes that are being made to the Scheme and how they impact them, including continual assessment of incoming information and announcements for developing positioning approaches and outputs. Applying high-level strategic communications knowledge in overseeing integrated marketing communications campaigns. Using data and insights, continually improve function and guidance across the reform communications team and building programs of optimisation. Working with members of the Strategic Communications Division, identifying and collaborating on joint change, communication, marketing, advocacy, and reputation growth objectives. Providing effective leadership for direct reports, including providing employees with the coaching, information, and guidance for achieving outcomes and ensuring compliance. Defining staff roles, performance expectations, and conducting performance appraisals as required. You will have: Strategic communication – Ability to develop clear and effective communication strategies for different audiences. Leadership and team management – Experience in leading and supporting a team to deliver high-quality work. Stakeholder engagement – Ability to build and manage strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Campaign management – Ability to plan and manage communication campaigns using data and insights. Plain English and accessibility – Strong writing skills with the ability to create clear, concise, and accessible content that meets audience needs. Project and resource management – Experience in managing detailed or sensitive projects, allocating resources, and adjusting plans as needed. Change management and continuous improvement – Ability to identify opportunities to enhance communication strategies and improve stakeholder understanding.
