The Marketing Communications Branch works to enhance the reputation of the agency among key stakeholders. The branch delivers strategic and impactful marketing, communication and digital solutions, supported by market research and insights. The Branch aims to build proactive engagement and create insight led behaviour change through timely, accessible and inclusive marketing and communications. About the Role As an Assistant Director of Communications you will: Strategic Communications Leadership: Driving the development and execution of communications plans and supporting collateral across multiple channels. Audience Engagement & Positioning: Ensuring stakeholders understand Scheme changes by assessing information and crafting clear messaging. Marketing & Campaign Oversight: Applying strategic communications expertise to manage integrated marketing and communications initiatives. Data-Driven Optimisation: Using insights to refine reform communications and enhance effectiveness. Team Leadership & Development: Providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to support staff and ensure compliance. To be successful in this role, you will need: Strategic Communication: Developing clear and effective strategies tailored to diverse audiences. Leadership & Team Management: Leading and supporting teams to deliver high-quality work. Stakeholder Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Campaign & Project Management: Planning, executing, and optimising communication campaigns using data-driven insights. Plain English & Accessibility: Crafting clear, concise, and accessible content that meets audience needs. Change Management & Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities to enhance communication strategies and improve stakeholder understanding. NDIS knowledge: Understanding of the NDIS and its impact on participants and providers. Government/public sector experience: Work within government and public sector processes. Issues management: Ability to manage sensitive communications and respond to reputational risk.
