Job Description

NAB Capital Markets plays a leading role in supporting clients access to global capital markets products. You will be responsible for providing consistent coverage of clients, as well as the identification, proposal, and execution of transactions. Your role will play an important part in contributing to the strategic objectives of the Capital Markets team, in line with Corporate Finance, CIB and Enterprise Strategies. Opportunity to grow and develop your financial and banking experience within the Capital Markets Origination Team We are empowered to make a positive difference for customers and communities Join a highly engaged and skilled business unit In this Associate role, you will: Support senior team members in managing coverage of clients, understanding debt markets, and identifying capital markets funding opportunities. Actively participate in deal teams and support the deal process in conjunction with our Syndicate teams. Provide support including provision of pricing and market updates, preparation of pitches and RFPs, market research, active file management, following up on client queries and engagement with key internal stakeholders. Contribute to the management of client relationships and originate and execute transactions in support of the Capital Markets Origination Directors. Understand market conditions, pricing, issuance activity, regulations and other factors influencing potential outcomes for our clients. What you’ll bring: Our ideal candidate will be a detail-focused and proactive individual with a strong work ethic and demonstrable ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environments. In addition, you will have: Experience in the financial markets industry and/or banking, including client coverage, credit or specialist product areas. An understanding of debt markets and how market conditions affect pricing and funding opportunities. Clear communication skills and the ability to write effectively about markets, opportunities and NAB’s capability, to produce high-quality RFPs, deal recommendations, deal write-ups, etc. Excellent stakeholder relationship skills, time management and organizational skills. Knowledge of risk and compliance and awareness of the ever-changing risks such as market risk, financial risk, non-financial risk, regulatory changes, and the application to product, process and how we deal with clients and internal stakeholders.
