Job Description

Do you like problem solving and analysis? Help contribute to our performance audit program in assessing how the government implements some of its priority policies and programs. We are looking for someone who is committed to contributing to our vision of better public services, and our mission of independent and valued assurance and insights. You will bring a good understanding of government and experience in the assessment and evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and operations. You will be a strategic thinker who enjoys problem solving, with strong client relationship and communication skills. You will play an important role within the performance audit team and across QAO, with responsibilities including: Leading and managing teams in the delivery of a diverse range of performance audits over the Queensland Public Sector, and supporting the delivery of higher risk engagements. Preparing high quality reporting (both internally and externally) – including our reports to parliament. Building and maintaining effective stakeholder and client relationships in delivering audits, and delivering professional presentations. Contributing to a range of other deliverables and initiatives across the QAO, such as the forward work plan. Building capability and mentoring staff across the QAO to support a high performing workforce and a strong culture.
