Join to apply for the Bayside Peninsula High Rise Improvement Manager role at Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing 1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants THE ROLE The High Rise Improvement Manager is responsible for the establishment of the South Melbourne High Rise Improvement project, including the establishment of a neighbourhood action group to assist in identifying and developing or facilitating responses to local issues or concerns. An Improvement Action Plan (the plan) has been developed to respond to issues raised by renters, security providers, Victoria Police and the broader community at the South Melbourne high rise estates.The position manages a small team which, in conjunction with local housing office staff, will implement strategies to improve social connection and inclusion of public housing tenants; improve residents' safety and reduce anti-social behaviour; and improve access to Community Services.As Manager, you will lead the project team to undertake the agreed actions outlined in the improvement plan, which will improve community and economic participation outcomes for current and future residents of the South Melbourne public housing estates, with a focus on Security and Safety, Community Development, health and social supports, and Building maintenance and Hygiene.This role may at times be required to operate outside of normal office hours in line with the current VPS Enterprise Agreement.Accountabilities Include Improve renter safety and wellbeing across public housing high rise estates in BPA. Provide strategic oversight and governance to drive engagement with key government agencies and local stakeholders and service providers to support increased renter safety and wellbeing across public housing high rise estates in BPA. Lead service design and build an integrated response across different service components, including Housing Operations and the contracted agency who host a dedicated community connector role and sourcing new opportunities to build a stronger and more sustainable service platform.
