We are looking for a Bid and Estimation Manager to join our team in Mascot, Australia, to support the growth of our Power Distribution Systems & Services business. In this role, you will lead the creation of persuasive technical and commercial proposals for projects with substantial revenue potential or complexity. You will be responsible for managing the entire bid process, from proposal development to submission, and will play an active role in the go/no-go decision-making process. What you’ll do: Bid Management: Lead the end-to-end bid proposal process, ensuring all submissions are attractive and aligned with client expectations. Strategy Development: Define successful bid strategies by identifying unique selling points and understanding customer-specific requirements. Documentation Gathering: Collect proposals, blueprints, specifications, and relevant documents to inform the bid process. Supplier Engagement: Research, source, negotiate, and secure the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors. Contract Review: Analyze contract documents, including scope of work, specifications, addenda, and drawings, to comprehend project technical and commercial details. Document Analysis: Evaluate and interpret complex technical documents, regulatory codes, plans, and contracts related to the bids. Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies. Proposal Writing: Write, research, and review proposals, ensuring the right resources are assigned, and timelines are managed. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical)- 3 years of experience in electrical switchgear and installations for MV & LV- Experience in a design/manufacturing environment- Familiarity with electrical switchgear, switchboards, and protection schemes- Proven experience in developing bid proposals, tender submissions, RFIs, and related documentation for the electrical sector- Knowledge of standards AS/NZS3000, AS2067, AS/NZS62271 suite, and IEC62271 suite- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word- Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines, even with incomplete information- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work- Experience in sales and sales estimation- Strong time management skills, with excellent planning and organizational abilities to manage a complex workload Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of Standard AS/NZS60076- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems- Experience in customer-facing roles- Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including Business Development Managers, Commercial, Legal, Engineering, Project Managers, Factory Managers, and Product Managers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
