Job Description

Business Analyst - 12 month contract. Join one of our clients in the Federal Government. Conveniently located in Richmond or Geelong with hybrid work environments. This is a perfect role for an Australian Citizen looking for their next opportunity. This role is projected to start on the 7th of April 2025 for a 12 month period with potential to extend. There are multiple roles available at APS6 and EL1 level depending on your experience. What the client is looking for: Business Process Analysis: Expertise in evaluating and documenting the gap between current and future state process maps. Requirement Gathering: Proficient in extracting, documenting, and managing business requirements, transforming them into Epics and User Stories. Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills to pinpoint inefficiencies and suggest actionable solutions for process improvement. Testing: Capable of conducting systems testing in alignment with established acceptance criteria throughout the development and testing phases. Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled at leading workshops with stakeholders, including Business Analysts, UX/UI Designers, and technology teams. Risk Assessment: Able to identify potential risks, monitor issues, propose alternatives, and escalate concerns when necessary. System Thinking: Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise in new systems and processes within the NDIA. Desirable Skills for the Role: Data Analysis: Proficient in analyzing data to identify patterns and derive actionable insights. Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Agile and Kanban for efficient project management. Business Analysis Tools: Well-versed in using tools like Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow management. Process Improvement: Experience in identifying and implementing strategies for process optimization. Cross-functional Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate effectively with team members across various disciplines.
