Financial Services partner with all areas of CommBank to provide specialist advice, support and services in finance, audit, treasury, property, procurement, climate strategy and investor relations. Do work that matters This role reports directly to the Head of Financial Control and indirectly to the Program Director and will be responsible for the project management and execution of the onboarding and migration of operational finance reconciliations from manual spreadsheet onto group approved reconciliation software as part of the broader finance reconciliation tool upgrade project as per agreed scope, schedule and within budget using the Bank’s project methodology, toolset and support processes. This will involve identifying and prioritising an appropriate ‘runway’ of reconciliations for migration to achieve operational efficiencies for both Operations and Finance teams. This role requires the individual to work with and manage diverse, complex and challenging stakeholders across multiple Domains and/or Business Units and/or Support Units. Key Responsibilities Includes, but is not limited, to the following: Adhere to the Code of Conduct . Manage all aspects of the project life cycle including scope, initiation, planning, execution, closure, expenditure, benefits realisation and evaluation. Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations. Effectively manage relationships and communications with project stakeholders, including vendors and delivery teams to ensure that prioritisation is understood and agreed to. Resolve and manage any conflicts as they arise. Develop robust and achievable delivery plans to manage the delivery of quality project outcomes. Structure project team for success incorporating required skills from within the Group and sourcing resources from delivery partner organisations. Balance schedule, cost and quality in reaching decisions relating to project delivery. Manage and report project expenditures and benefits realisation. Track and manage project activities and deliverables to achieve agreed outcomes and identify and develop mitigation strategies to manage project interdependencies. Manage relationships with vendors and third-party suppliers. Application and demonstration of knowledge and understanding of the project’s impact (on people, process and technology) within the Group. Facilitate organisational change requirements with the business and OCM professionals. Ensure all obligations across customer, regulatory, internal policy and process frameworks (e.g. GDF, PDDP, RiC) are fully met and satisfied, where applicable. Identify, articulate and manage risks, dependencies and compliance across streams of work. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Strong Project Management experience with budget accountability greater than $2 million. Experience in financial control including reconciliation, analysis and investigation. Proven communicator with diverse and complex stakeholders across multiple teams. High levels of motivation and resilience. Sound commercial acumen and professional judgement. Leading multiple streams of work. Cross functional management of 1 or more business units. Knowledge and experience in using industry recognised project management and/or solution delivery methodologies. Risk Mindset – All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks. Additional Qualifications: Tertiary Qualifications – hold a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or an equivalent business-related discipline. Accounting qualification – CPA or CA.
