Your role will involve : The purpose of the Business Relationship Lead (BRL) role is to manage the digital business relationship for Sydney Water’s asset-focused Groups (Water & Environment Services, Infrastructure Delivery, and Operational Technology), developing and designing business solutions that are planned, well-articulated, and aligned to the enterprise strategy as well as helping to resolve issues by connecting business stakeholders to the right teams in Digital. This BRL role is part of the Asset Portfolio within Digital, with a focus on digital-business relationships and solutions in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Field Services Management (FSM), and Operational Technology (OT) domains. Who are we looking for? Leadership Skills: The ideal candidate will build Digital to Business engagement by developing and maintaining relationships with key business stakeholders, understanding their needs, and helping to translate those into digital requirements. The role also undertakes pipeline development via business requests for non-standard IT capabilities, new initiatives, business case definition, and works with all stakeholders to effectively transition work into delivery teams. A key part of the role is the ability to write effective business scenarios, requirements documentation, and conceptual & functional design documentation. Interpersonal Skills: Participate actively in project teams and support Project Brief development, authoring and review to enhance the stakeholder engagement relationship. Prioritize the safety of colleagues, the public, and the environment in all tasks. Manage conflicts, manage scope, manage requirements communications, and maintain knowledge for future use. Build effective relationships across business and Digital teams. Qualification and Experience: Essential: The ideal candidate should have a Tertiary degree in Information Technology / Digital Services management and/or equivalent industry experience. Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret and implement complex initiatives. Business needs analysis and the ability to align digital solutioning to business solution outcomes. Experience in Project Proposal development and documentation with the ability to succinctly identify and articulate business outcomes. Experience in EAM, FSM, and/or OT domains would be an advantage.
