An outstanding prospect is available for a dynamic, highly motivated, energetic, and self-directed CSSD Manager looking to progress in their career and join a newly completed state-of-the-art CSSD Department at a private hospital in Darwin. ABOUT THE ROLE As the CSSD Manager, your responsibilities will include: Overseeing a high standard of evidence-based Sterilization services to the operating theatre and other clinical departments within the hospital; Adhering to Australian College of Operating Room Nurses (ACORN) standards and planning, assessing, implementing, and evaluating the cleaning, sterilization, and packing of hospital instruments; Providing clinical leadership - offering direction, support, supervision, teaching, and specific clinical specialty direction for CSSD Technicians. REQUIREMENTS Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation; At least 5 years of experience working in a CSSD role within a hospital; Sound knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR; Demonstrated ability to show leadership and the ability to work with a wide range of people in a team environment; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS Office and various databases; An interest in promoting best-practice patient care; A focus on professional development. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Darwin, is a licensed 122-bed hospital providing a broad range of multiday and day surgery, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Plastic and Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory.
