Are you ready to play an essential role in patient care and safety? As a CSSD Assistant at Riverland General Hospital, you will help ensure the sterilisation and reprocessing of critical medical devices in the Operating Theatres. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that directly supports the hospital’s surgical services, contributing to improved patient outcomes. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for decontamination, preparation, and packaging of reusable medical instruments, while working under supervision to maintain high standards of hygiene and quality control. Your work will be vital in supporting the hospital's smooth and effective operations, ensuring that the theatre unit has all the sterilised tools necessary for safe and successful surgeries. You will receive an up to 12-month orientation program, providing the training you need to thrive in this essential role. Your ability to work well in a team, manage responsibilities effectively, and maintain confidentiality will help you succeed and make a positive impact on the hospital’s daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Strong ability to work within a team environment. Flexibility in approach to work and rostering systems. Good interpersonal communication skills and discretion. Ability to meet deadlines and use computer packages (Microsoft Word, Excel). A current first aid certificate and experience in a perioperative or CSSD department are desirable. Why Join Us?
