Career Medical Officer in Psychiatry - New England North West Mental Health Service Hunter New England Local Health District REQ552832 Career Medical Officer in Psychiatry New England North-West Mental Health Service, Tamworth, NSW Permanent Full Time Role Advertising closes 12 March 2025 Primarily based in Tamworth, the CMO will provide a generalist medical service, including the coordination of clinical management of patients consistent with the plans of the Admitting Medical Officer and improvement in the continuity of care within the service and between the hospital and community. They may be required to work across New England sector and HNELHD as required to support colleagues and services. The CMO plays an instrumental role in providing senior psychiatric medical officer input in supporting the various arms of the mental health service across all age groups. Applicants will: Possess at least 6 years of experience in Psychiatry Enjoy working with a cohesive, supportive and stable medical workforce which includes a strong complement of VMO Psychiatrists, registrars and interns. The role will have components of inpatient and community work. The Tamworth Region is renowned for its diversity and experiences.
