Beverly Hills Montessori Christian ELC is a stunning boutique classic early learning centre, committed to providing high quality early childhood education & care. Our service boasts spacious indoor and outdoor learning environments, equipped with an enormous number of resources to foster children’s exploration, creativity and growth. We have been operating since 1983! POSITION OVERVIEW We are looking for an outstanding Centre Director (Nominated Supervisor & Educational Leader) to lead our team of committed and innovative professionals working with children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. This role is both on and off the floor (Off the floor is approx. 10 hours weekly). This role has a face-to-face weekly support meeting with the Approved Provider. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management, leadership, compliance and basic administration (no fees, financial or budgets) of the service, ensuring a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for both children & staff. Montessori experience and qualifications would be a great advantage. ESSENTIAL ACECQA approved qualification of either an Early Childhood Degree, or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Current ACECQA approved First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management. Current ACECQA approved Child Protection. CHCPRT001 - Identify and respond to children and young people at risk. Current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) Current and Valid working rights in Australia Have a Christian Ethos Would like to learn more about Montessori and do some training Live close to Narwee NSW EXPERIENCE Well-developed knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework & National Quality Standards Demonstrated experience in supporting curriculum development and documenting children's learning. Minimum of 3 years working experience in an approved early education and care service as a Director Experience and familiarity with the Assessment and Rating process. CAPABILITIES Ability to engage effectively with children and families A creative spirit and interest in contemporary pedagogy Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language The ability to work effectively in a team environment A high level of initiative and a commitment to continuous learning Personal Christian Ethos GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Foster a love for learning & creativity among children through engaging activities Coach and mentor educators & conduct regular performance evaluations and support professional growth Conduct weekly staff meetings Ensure compliance with NQS, Legislation & Regulations Ensure staff & the service always comply with safety standards and government regulations Interact with parents and meet their needs and expectations, ensuring open communication & involvement Maintain all routines & order Rostering and replacing sick/holiday staff Orientation of new families Ensuring all policies are followed by every stakeholder Ensure efficient use of resources Lead the planning and implementation of the educational program, which values a holistic view of each child’s development.
