Childcare Services Director – Regional Queensland Accommodation and Travel included Temporary role that could go permanent for the right person The Client This Client is located in Central Western Queensland, situated 700 kilometres from the coast, west of Rockhampton. The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Childcare Services Director to lead a well-established childcare centre with 135 placements in regional Queensland. This position offers excellent remuneration, travel and accommodation support, and the potential for a temp-to-perm transition. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the daily operations of the childcare centre, ensuring high-quality education and care. Supervise and support three direct reports, fostering a positive and professional team environment. Develop and implement strategic and operational plans in alignment with organisational objectives. Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS), Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations. Engage effectively with children, families, staff, and external stakeholders. Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and resource management to ensure sustainability. About You High-level leadership and people management skills. Strong strategic planning, budgeting, and operational management abilities. Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills. In-depth understanding of safety regulations and workplace compliance. Extensive understanding of early childhood development and program planning. Comprehensive knowledge of National Quality Standards (NQS) and state/territory regulations. Experience in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care. LR Class Driver’s License. Working with Children Blue Card and current Child Protection Training Certification. Current First Aid Certification (HLTAID011 - Provide Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting). Proven experience in early childhood services leadership.
