Overview This position is responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks , such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. Tasks may include appointment scheduling, answering, and returning patient calls, and coordinating daily office activities. This position conveys a positive image of the office and provides information as needed to ensure patients are aware of all benefits of the office. Responsibilities Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of the organization. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING High School Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant Certification. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job. Work experience in health care preferred. Current Phlebotomy certification or Competency required.
