Parental Leave and Fertility Benefits Program Professional development and career development opportunities Access to an Employee Assistance Program for physical, mental, social, family and financial support Job Description About the Role Clinical Administrator - City Health Fixed Term Contract role The Clinical Administrator position supports the daily operations of all departments, patients and clients within the clinic theatre / day procedure environment. This role is a customer service-based position representing City Fertility as the first point of contact for most day surgery patients, providing a meet and greet and a friendly and empathetic phone manner. This role includes the responsibility for managing incoming calls, booking appointments, patient registration, providing comprehensive cost quotes individualised to the patients treatment plan and the billing of day surgery and IVF patients within Medicare and private healthcare guidelines. Along with day surgery billing, applicants with coding experience and/or qualifications will be highly regarded. Skills and Experience: Customer Service experience Min 2+ years experience working in a Day Hospital, Procedure Clinic or Hospital environment Basic Medical terminology training (highly regarded) Experience with day surgery software Sim Day and Dox (highly regarded) Experience with healthcare billing software such as Genie, Clinic to Cloud, Pracsoft or similar Experience in medical billing for day surgery procedures (coding would be advantageous but not essential) Sound knowledge of private health insurance schemes and Medicare legislation IVF administration experience an advantage Intermediate to advanced computer skills Sound knowledge of healthcare and regulatory body requirements Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience Knowledge Competencies: Basic to intermediate understanding of medical reception / healthcare administration Intermediate to advanced clinical administration Intermediate / advanced understanding of clinical administration functions and processes Intermediate / advanced understanding of MS Office / Outlook Basic / intermediate understanding of Healthcare IT Platforms Basic / intermediate understanding of health industry terminology Basic / intermediate understanding of legislative requirements to apply to protocols, policy, processes within a healthcare environment Personal Attributes: Patient focused - with a strong customer service orientation and the ability to engage with patients and clinicians Compassionate, supportive and empathetic Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills Accuracy and attention to detail Problem solving, critical thinking, decision maker Adaptability and flexibility Self awareness and ability to self-assess Focus on continuous improvement and supportive of change management Team culture promoter Responsible for work performed with a substantial level of accountability and responsibility.
