The Anaesthetics Department at Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital is seeking an experienced anaesthetics and research nurse to fulfill the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Anaesthetics Research. The position will lead and support research initiatives in anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, and pain management. This role involves designing and managing clinical research studies, ensuring ethical and regulatory compliance, and recruiting patients for trials. The CNC will oversee data collection and analysis, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and disseminate research findings through publications and presentations. Additionally, the position includes providing education and training to staff on research methodologies and using research outcomes to drive quality improvement initiatives, ultimately enhancing patient care and safety.Ideal Candidate Approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to the specialty or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate. Leadership skills and excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in the specialty field.
