About the role: We are currently seeking a Community Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive Home and Community Care team in the Hopetoun Region. Whilst working in this rewarding role you will support the Community team in providing meals to home care customers. This role will involve the preparation and cooking of food, cleaning of equipment and application of safe food hygiene practices. Candidates with a relevant qualification will be viewed favourably, although we can provide training for a suitable candidate. The ideal candidate should be available to work from Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00am to 1:00pm. However, we are open to adjusting the schedule to accommodate the needs of the successful applicant. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to Juniper's aged care customers in their own homes. Travel to customers' homes as part of service delivery. Prepare and cook meals while ensuring proper cleaning of equipment. Deliver meals to customers with care and professionalism. Follow and implement Client Care Plans accurately. Key Requirements: Current Australian driver’s licence and reliable car - essential. Trade certificate, equivalent qualification or experience in commercial cooking environment and/or aged care catering – desirable but not essential. Understand documentation and relevant aged care legislation. Understand principles of Occupational, Safety & Health and correct manual handling. Verbal and written communication skills.
