Compliance obligations include laws and regulations, government directives and mandated policies, industry standards and codes, commitments in agreements, contracts and license agreements, and core organization-wide policies. Your New Role: As a Compliance Governance Specialist, within this 6+ month contract role, you will be the custodian of the compliance management system. Your responsibilities will include providing compliance governance and reporting, centralized administration support for tracking audit and risk actions, managing extension requests, and providing periodic updates within the Governance Risk and Compliance system. You will also provide secretariat, delegation, policy, and business support to the Corporate Governance function across the organization. What You'll Need to Succeed: Deep compliance expertise. Ability to assess and evaluate policies and procedures to support compliance objectives and recommend improvements. Strong communication skills to develop relationships with management and staff to foster a compliance culture. Ability to work independently and as a team player. Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize workload. Desirable: Experience in Corporate Governance, Legal, Policy, Compliance, Project Management experience, and relevant tertiary qualifications in Corporate Governance/Law or equivalent extensive experience.
