Contract and Procurement Specialist (Readvertised) We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract and Procurement Specialist to join the Council! The Role We are looking for an energetic individual to join our Corporate Finance team in the newly created role of Contract and Procurement Specialist . Whether working on infrastructure projects, technology, goods and services, or disposals, your work will contribute to the wellbeing and benefit of the Burnie community. As the Contract and Procurement Specialist you will support strategic sourcing initiatives through procurement and contract administration services, delivering best practice procurement solutions creating value and savings for Council and our community. You will take the lead across all aspects of the procurement and contracting process, modelling probity and integrity, increasing organisational capacity by sharing your knowledge with others. You will use your commercial acumen to find the best deal, connecting with and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. About You You’re community focused and your work experience provides you with the sound understanding of what a positive impact a best practice contract and procurement framework will have on the organisation, contributing to the delivery of Council’s strategic plan ‘Making a Better Burnie 2044’ .
