Do you have what it takes to become a Smartgroup Corporate Affairs and ESG Advisor? We are looking for a passionate and talented Corporate Affairs and ESG Advisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Smartgroup’s ESG function, developing internal and external communications, tracking and analysing government policies, legislative changes, and emerging trends. Your insights and research will help inform our business decisions. You will support the corporate affairs team to manage key external stakeholders, prepare and deliver executive-level materials, including briefs, talking points, speeches, and reports, to support our stakeholder and government engagement efforts. You will have broad scope to drive and implement our ESG initiatives, including work on developing our next Sustainability Strategy, setting and meeting targets, reporting, and support with completing external assessments. Your work will directly contribute to our success and impact and will have connections and support across the business with a range of stakeholders and functions. To be successful at Smartgroup you will have: Demonstrated experience in research, analysis, and producing high-caliber written materials. Expertise in policy research and government affairs, adept at navigating complex legislative frameworks. Proven track record in leading sustainability and ESG initiatives, including reporting and stakeholder engagement. Proven ability to develop and execute clear communications and provide quality research through critical thinking and effective collaboration. Exceptional research and analytical skills, distilling complex information into actionable insights. Superior written and verbal communication skills, tailored for diverse stakeholders. Advanced project management capabilities, driving sustainability strategy and reporting. High proficiency in digital literacy, quickly learning and leveraging new tools. Outstanding organisational and self-management skills, excelling in small team environments. Strong collaborative mindset, building robust relationships and working effectively with minimal supervision. What’s next?
