About the Role The Data Insights and Reporting Specialist position is responsible for the coordination of maintenance, processing and analysis of manual and automated data for the purposes of reporting, maintenance and accuracy and completeness to support business strategies. The role is required to work with large datasets, generate reports, and develop dashboards to improve decision-making and efficiency. This is a newly established role and will collaborate with stakeholders primarily within the P&C team to utilise the outputs to support understanding of workforce, optimisation and business improvement. Key responsibilities include: Be involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Bapcor’s HRIS, including related policies and procedures. Draw and interpret data from systems to provide base data sets for scheduled and ad hoc reporting. Work with internal stakeholders - central IT, Finance to understand business priorities and information (data and reporting) needs and to develop plans for proposed systems, including development and maintenance budgets. Monitor implementation and operation of approved systems. Supervise input of data and ensure data integrity. Use data to proactively suggest improvement in processes and/or approaches. Use data to report on past events, issues and trends so that they can be utilised to support any research and/or improvement programs. Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting processes. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using reporting tools. Related qualification and/or experience in accounting, payroll, business or related field. 5+ years of relevant experience with people systems demonstrating independent oversight and strategic thinking. Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, or dashboard creation, along with prior experience working with People systems (i.e Payroll, capital management system, P&C projects etc.). Advanced user of MS Excel and MS Power Point for the purposes of reporting. Strong understanding of people metrics. Strong understanding of statistical and analytical techniques.
