This is a part time .8EFT, fixed term parental leave cover position until September 2025. The hours are flexible and applications will be considered for those seeking between .4 to .8 EFT. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small Dietetics team, alongside our incredible allied health, nursing, medical and food services teams. Clinical areas include general surgical, orthopaedics, ICU, oncology, gynaecology and general medical. You will make an impact by: Promoting and providing dietetic and nutritional intervention across a range of inpatient wards and outpatient services Providing evidence-based nutrition intervention advice, support, counselling and education to patients and family/carers Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care using a patient-centred approach Actively participating in quality activities ensuring opportunities for improvement are actively explored and best practice is achieved Participating in team professional development Demonstrating empathy and compassion and encourage patient and family members participation in all stages of care To be successful in this role you will have: Previous experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum of 4 years) Experience in ICU and oncology is ideal Commitment to best practice and working within a multidisciplinary team Well-developed time management, prioritisation and communication skills The ability to work with key stakeholders to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes A quality and risk focused approach to clinical practice, patient care and decision making About Freemasons Located in East Melbourne, close to public transport and the CBD, Epworth Freemasons provides a range of world-class health services.
