Client Our client works to improve the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.Role We are looking for a Digital Continuity Analyst. Our client is seeking to fill a new contractor role in the Performance Management Team in the ICT Operations Section, within the Digital Group. The purpose of this role is to ensure the reliable and efficient functioning of our clients ICT infrastructure and systems, by optimising performance, reliability and resiliency, by supporting the delivery of services to our client’s users.The Performance Management Team contributes to that by monitoring, analysing, and optimising the performance of the digital infrastructure and systems, by collecting and analysing performance data, identifying trends, and implementing strategies to improve efficiency, and reliability and end of life management.This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity plans and strategies for the Digital Group, to ensure the resilience of digital systems, processes, and operations in the face of disruptions, disasters, or unexpected events. This role plays a critical role in safeguarding the organisations digital assets and maintaining continuity of digital services during adverse events.Responsibilities Business Continuity Planning: Working with the governance team to develop and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans and procedures for digital systems, applications, and processes to minimise the impact of disruptions and ensure timely recovery in the event of disasters or emergencies. Risk Assessment and Analysis: In partnership with digital security and others conduct DR risk assessments and analysis of the digital environment and develop mitigation strategies to address them. Incident Response Planning: In partnership with the service desk develop and maintain major incident response plans and playbooks for digital events that could or do lead to disruption or are impacted by a disaster or unexpected event. Identify roles, responsibilities, and escalation procedures to facilitate prompt and effective response to these types of events to minimise downtime. Testing and Exercising: Coordinate and conduct regular testing be it tabletop exercises, or exercises with vendors and digital teams. Work with the governance team in preparing and testing any wide tests. Subsequently evaluate their effectiveness, identify gaps and recommend improvements to response capabilities. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation that meets governance, audit and compliance requirements. This would include business continuity plans, procedures, test results, incident reports, and lessons learned. Additionally providing regular reports to leadership on the status of digitals business continuity preparedness. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness programs for digital teams to enhance preparedness and response capabilities. Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to enhance business continuity strategies and plans. Vendor Management: In partnership with Digital Asset Management, evaluate the business continuity capabilities of vendors to ensure contractual agreements include appropriate business continuity requirements and service level agreements. Develop, implement and review strategies, frameworks, policies and procedures. Key Requirement Proven experience in business continuity planning, disaster recovery, or risk management, with specific experience in digital or technology environments. Strong understanding of business continuity principles, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge of digital technologies including cloud computing, virtualisation, networking, mobility and cyber. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in business continuity planning tools and documentation software like SharePoint. Due to the nature of this role, this job is open to Australian Citizens only. Candidates must have the ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.
