Join our leadership team as an interim Director of Corporate and Support Services, driving strategic growth and innovation from now until August 2025, and leave a lasting impact on our organisation's trajectory.The Director of Corporate and Support Services will spearhead the operational management of our Administrative and Operational teams at Gladstone Hospital, ensuring top-notch facilities and effective equipment management. Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region. A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity. Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence. This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities. About the role: As a member of the Gladstone and Banana Business Unit leadership team, the position will work collaboratively with the clinical, operational, and administrative leaders and teams to ensure that services are patient-centred, safe, and delivered in an environment that is appropriate and reliable. Specifically, the role will provide leadership and operational management for the Administrative and Operational teams of the Gladstone and Banana Hospital, have responsibility for Gladstone Hospital facilities and equipment management, and oversee contract management for the Gladstone and Banana Business Unit and, as required, across CQ (Central Queensland) Health. About you: Whilst not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification in health or management would be highly regarded. Understands the organisation's role and considers multiple perspectives when assessing key issues on the organisation and community. Drives activities that support organisational and operational sustainability. Drives a culture of collaboration and participation, setting high personal standards of cooperative and collaborative behaviour. Clarifies and effectively communicates broad and highly complex issues to a wide range of audiences.
